About Taco Bell
Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.
The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.
Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Food was good, thought the pasta could have had more fresh mozzarella. Wait staff was not very attentive (water glasses empty for 5-10 min at a time) Prosciutto app was good. Bread was fair at best. Would have expected fresh parmesan from Italian restaurant.

Service was good and friendly Calamari was a bit salty but overall delicious. Loved that it was grilled vs fried. Beet salad was very tasty bs the mozzarella was super fresh The Tartufata pizza was awesome! Truffle oil, mushrooms. Cheesy and crispy! The wine by the glass is reasonably priced and there was a good amount to select from.

In my Starbucks review, I said that I went for dinner BEFORE I got Starbucks. I chose this place. I like the atmosphere of this place. There are huge wine bottles all over the shelves. The pizza goes in a brick oven which you can see at the bar. There is some outside seating in Bella Bacino's. The only reason why I deducted a star in this review was because my relative had the chocolate milk. It didn't taste good. It felt like it was mixed improperly. We told the waitress, and she said that they use the chocolate from the desserts. What the heck Bella Bacino's! The waitress gave a much better chocolate milk to my relative. The service is great. The waitress I had was nice to talk to and she was very friendly. For an average-crowded Saturday night, the food came pretty fast! The food turned out to be really good! For an appetizer, I had the grilled calamari. I like that it's grilled, and not your average fried calamari. It tasted pretty good. It was nicely grilled. There was an order of bruschetta which my relatives really liked. I ordered the Rigatoni Napoletana. It was a great dish! The sauce had a great flavor with the pasta. The meat was tender as well! My relative had a brick oven pizza. It tasted really good. There was a nice and crunchy crust. Also, the sauce for the pizza was good! All in all, great food, great service, but they should work on their chocolate milk. I will be back again!

I came here with my boyfriend on a Thursday night because we had a groupon that was expiring soon. We made reservations ahead of time but didn't need them because the place was empty. I really liked the décor of the place. They have wine crates covering the walls and it was a cool concept I had never seen before. Our host and waitress were both very polite and attentive. Our groupon included a salad and glass of wine for both of us and a pizza to share. I thought the salad was pretty good but my boyfriend did not like it. Our pizza was just ok. We had the sausage pizza. The ingredients were good but it wasn't very crispy considering it was a brick oven pizza. Place was ok overall but I probably wouldn't go back unless I had a groupon/coupon.

Bad experiece. I used to enjoy the pizza from their location downtown, but this place is horrible. Not only was the oven fired pizza, disgusting, it didn't taste like an oven fired pizza should. On top of the bad food, the waitress was rude and tried to rush us out. There weren't any customers in the place. She barely spoke English. She couldn't explain the menu, when asked about a dish she would point and say, "you see? Read." Clearly, I can read but I had specific questions that were not on the menu and she was no help. All in all, I won't be back. I'll keep my money and take my business elsewhere.

I want to like this place, but it's just ok. The service was odd last time I was there with our waiter forgetting which order was ours and long lags in service. The food was ok, but not really special for the price. I have a hard time remembering what we ate. The cheese & prosciutto was just average.
(3)Kathleen K.
I was utterly crushed last night. My favorite deep dish pizza is Bacino 's and their deep dish oven was broken. I broke into sobs and depression after a 400 mile drive anticipating the lovely pie of cheesiness. Well I did feel bad. Our wonderful waiter was very apologetic. We decided to order the prosciutto appetizer with fresh mozzarella and balsamic ... MMMMM. I LOVE the deep dish but decided to try their sausage, mushroom and mozzarella pizza. It is Neopolitan style and made with the same sauce as the deep dish. It was wonderful but not orgasmic like the deep dish. My husband and brother had 2 variations of the rigatoni and said they were very good. We also ordered the dessert sampler. It comes with creme brule, tiramisu, flourless chocolate torte and gelato. Everything was great except the dry torte. But they gave it to us on the house since their deep dish oven was broken and the sugar might stave off deep depression. It worked. I was smiling as I was rolled out after eating way too much. Call first to make sure the oven is fixed.

Good food, poor service. I have been a regular customer at this location for years, but the treatment we received last night was distasteful. They did not have a table ready, even though my party had made an online reservation. The waitress was rude and we had to ask for our drinks, since she was too busy serving a table of her friends who arrived well after us. Very unfortunate, because the food is good. It is difficult to enjoy good food when the service is so rude and terrible!

iI love the marinara pizza.
(5)Al M.
Ordered takeout from here today. The food was very good and they were very nice. We got a stuffed pizza that everyone in the family really liked. Lots of chunky sauce, lots of oozing cheese and nice crust, with a nice sprinkling of spices on top. When I got there a very nice girl asked me for my order and two other people asked me I had been helped while she went to get my order, even though they were busy. Parking was a little bit of a pain, but it was Sat night. Not sure why this place does not have better reviews. We will add it to our rotation for pizza. I would give this 4 1/2 stars if I knew how to do half stars. They did everything right.
(5)Angie R.
Love this place, the mussels and clams are great ! The brick oven pizza is awesome too, I also recommend the rustica salad! Me and my girlfriends come here a lot love the Turly red it's amazing!!
(4)JL J.
Located in the heart of Lagrange, IL, Bella Bacino is a gem. Their ingredients are just so unbelievably fresh. It has a good North Italian type menu that covers all the bases. Some dear friends took us to celebrate Adam's birthday. We started off with Caldo di Mare, which were mussels and clams in a light cherry tomato, garlic and extra virgin olive oil sauce. In addition, we had the Semplice, which was mixed field greens with cherry tomatoes, shaved fennel, fresh mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. The balsalmic vinegar is fantastic here. The thin crust pizza was great and the sauce was divine. They seem to feature their pizza, but there is so much more to the menue than that, great appetizers, entrees and desserts! Service was awesome, very personable and attentative. The ambience at this location is nice, the decor is vaguely Italianate. Cheers, Jordan & Marks

Not a good place for kids. Horrible service. Waited over an hour for basic food, with no update, no drink refills and people complaining around us. This is my second time here and I should've stuck with my first impression, pre kids, that there are MUCH better places in LaGrange (aka Lucca's) to go to. I wouldn't even go back on a date night or with a discount offer. Leave it...
(1)Craig S.
I've eaten here a few times, and I've always been happy. It's a bit pricey, but I don't feel like I'm not getting my money's worth. Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen, and I can't say that this place stands out above the crowd, but there's nothing I don't like about it. I have a few in the area I'm less than impressed with, so this rises above their lower standard. I've done both the pastas and the pizza, and have been quite happy with both. Worth eating at, good service, tasty food.
(4)Gabriel S.
Having dined in twice now, I have received great, personal service, and a phenomenal traditional Italian pizza. The employees here are down to earth and not over the top fake nice like everywhere else trying to hustle for tips. As such, my girlfriend and I felt at cozy and comfortable without being overwhelmed by a repertoire of a thousand house specials. The chill atmosphere and good service is also accompanied by delicious pizza. Their thin crust ham, mushroom, and smoked mozzarella pizza is to die for- Yum! I will definitely continue to venture here regularly and hope you do the same! :)
(5)Bigg K.
it looks like they used to have service issues based on the reviews. They must have taken those reviews to heart. Great job on service and really nice job on the food. The pizza was a little more than what I would like to spend but it was good quality. You will do well with the yuppies in LaGrange having a good quality pizza, lower the price a bit and you can have the Highlands too. Took my family there tonight and appreciate the food and hospitality, throw us a legit coupon every month and we will be regulars. Great job on the $2 beer special, I might go back sans coupon and order a pizza based on that.
(4)Ben G.
Had a very nice dinner and evening at Bacinos. Excellent food in downtown LaGrange. Staff very pleasant and friendly, excellent service. Started with rustica salad, it was great. Had the salmon with mango and beef tender with mushrooms on a bed of arugula both excellent. Crime brûlée and chocolate cake for dessert both great. Good wine list at affordable prices. Bacinos always good.
(5)Andrew G.
The wood fired pizzas are awesome and you can make your own pasta. The minestrone soup is tops and all of the ingredients are so fresh.
(5)Jason B.
Give yourself a good 2 hours to eat here... My wife and I have been here three times. The brick oven pizza is very good, but the slow and lackadaisical service will prevent us from returning again. We have never gone on a busy night, usually it's Tuesday evening and there's a few tables and one waitress and a hostess, along with the bartender and GM working the bar in front. The servers have always been nice, but nice only goes so far. I'm also looking for some sort of promptness or sense of urgency... for example, with three tables to serve, it shouldn't take 20 minutes to realize I've finished my drink. Here's a timeline for what to expect here: 7:00- You walk in and are seated promptly. 7:10- The server comes over and asks for your drink order. 7:20- You get your drinks and are told by the server that she'll be right back to take your order. 7:30- Ten minutes later, you order food. 7:50- The bread comes to the table. (Maybe. The first time we ate here they forgot this step). 8:10- Over an hour after you got here, the food arrives at table & you order another drink. 8:25- You're 2nd drink arrives half way through your meal 8:40- The hostess clears off plates and neglects to tell your server that you'd like another drink. 8:55- When the server walks by, you flag her down and ask for the check. 9:05- You get the check 9:10- They run the card 9:15- They return the card and receipt to sign So, not it's over two hours that you've been here after simply ordering two brick oven pizzas which bake up in mere minutes in a 700 degree oven, and no appetizer or desert. At this point, my years spent in food service prevent me from leaving a bad tip... I know I should, but I just can't bring myself to actually do it. So, I leave a rounded up 15% instead of a heavily rounded up 20% and make a firm decision to post this review on Yelp instead. The brick oven pizza is good, but if bad to mediocre service really gets under your skin, pass on this place.

This is one of my favorite pasta places in Chicagoland. And they care about, and know, wine. A great atmosphere, friendly, feel-like-home place. My favorite appetizer is their bruschetta, very fresh-tasting and flavorful, far from standard fare. My favorite pasta dish is the Orecchietta Alla Cubana, awesome mix of meats, veggies and great pasta. I'm sure their pizza is great, but I can't resist the pasta, and still haven't ordered pizza there yet. I will, someday.

Used to love Bacino's pizza and atmosphere, this is no longer the case. Went here on a Saturday evening place was pretty much empty. Service was awful and the food was not much better. We went for the wood fired pizza and were very disappointed. My sister asked our waitress three times if the one we ordered had sauce and she said yes. She brought out a pizza without any sauce. Absolutely terrible. Will not be back.

as my favorite restaurant in LaGrange I have to give it 5 stars. if you go you have to try the grilled calamari appetizer. the main dishes are always good and they mix up the specials very often so you are able to try something new. finally, if you are a fan of Italian style wood fired pizza this is the place for you.

Love this place, the mussels and clams are great ! The brick oven pizza is awesome too, I also recommend the rustica salad! Me and my girlfriends come here a lot love the Turly red it's amazing!!

Leave it...

it looks like they used to have service issues based on the reviews.

The wood fired pizzas are awesome and you can make your own pasta. The minestrone soup is tops and all of the ingredients are so fresh.

I don't understand how this place can be in business. This was the first and only time we will ever stop here. The service was unbelievably slow and there were quite a few dirty tables around us that were left a mess for about 20 minutes after the customers left. It took about 15 minutes just to get drinks, then we placed our order. After about another 20 minutes our salad came out. We ordered two pizzas and a small side of meatballs. The meatballs came out and were barely warm and we could not eat them because of the terrible taste of them. They had a taste of smoked, burnt old meat. When the pizzas came out, they were not hot, but barely room temperature, which I don't understand considering they supposedly come out of a 700* brick oven. When we finally did get refills of our drinks, the server filled the glasses over one of our pizzas and spilled the drink all over our sons plate and the rest of the pizza too. He walked away without even appologizing. We were sadly disappointed. We will never go back. We should have read the reviews on yelp BEFORE going there. If you love great brick oven pizza, you will be highly satisfied by taking a trip out to Michigan City to a place called Stop 50. It is well worth the ride.

Damn good thin crust pizza. Service is so so. Overpriced.

First time visit last Saturday night. The location is convenient, right in downtown La Grange with a very authentic Italian feel. As someone who works in the industry, I'm extremely tolerant of service staff but the whole experience at Bella Bucino was ruined with horrible service. The interaction was minimal, at best. She asked what we wanted to drink, what we wanted to order and without asking if we wanted dessert, coffee, etc... She dropped off the check. The food was decent but with no guidance/explanation on the menu, no suggestions, features, assistance it was very under-whelming. I give it two stars for the manager interaction.

Located in the heart of downtown La Grange, Bacino's is a nice place to enjoy a very good Italian meal. A little expensive, but you wont be disappointed. I do tend to agree with other posters that the quality of service is not up to par with the food. Even though the restaurant was not even close to being busy, our server tended to get lost at times. When asked for a wine recommendation she stated "all our wines are good" which might be true, but certainly not a recommendation. She also lost a good opportunity to perhaps up-sell some wine. The fonduta al forno (melted smoked mozzarella and tomato) and sausage and goat cheese appetizers were very good. Salads were excellent and enough for two to share. Entrees of rigatoni con mozzarella, the cheese, olive and sausage pasta special and brick oven pizzas were also very good! Funny thing, our server paid quite a bit more attention to our table of 6 right about the time we ordered our third bottle of wine. To my point, we were presented with an "on the house" dessert that consisted of a sampling of tiramasu, ice cream and chocolate fudge cake. Nice touch but a little after the fact. I also need to mention that or bill came with an automatic 20% tip added (for a party of 5 or more) but that automatic tip should not be an excuse to provide anything less than superior service. Food was 4 to 4.5 stars, service 3 stars....Overall 4 stars.

I would've given this five stars, but the bartender was HORRENDOUS! We decided to sit at the bar instead of waiting 30 minutes for a table, and it was as if we weren't really there. The bartender was totally pleasant to us, but rude to the servers that came up for drinks. She would snap at them, roll her eyes, boss them around...too much. The saving grace was the food and the owners. We ordered bruschetta, which wasn't very good, but the main dishes were outstanding. I had the Cavatapi con Pollo which was to die for and my boyfriend ordered a pizza done just right. In fact, while we waited for our food, the owners came up to us and gave us a pizza for free because they made the wrong one for somebody else. Heck yea! I will definitely go back there again, but will probably avoid the bar area.

This place SUCKS! First of all, the service was terrible. Our server was never around and we always had to ask the hostess to get her when we needed or wanted something. Second, one of us found a piece of broken glass in her ice water and, thinking it was ice, almost drank it. Luckily, she realized it wasn't ice and fished it out of the water. When we brought this to the hostess' attention, she took the glass chip, seemed very unconcerned about it and walked away. We had to call her back and tell her it was broken glass! Then she offered to get another glass of water. Big deal. We didn't know whether she told the manager so we asked our server, on one of her rare trips to our table, whether the hostess informed the manager of the broken glass in the water. The server said she thought so. A little while later, the manager appeared at our table with our food and told us that she had been informed of the broken glass and apologized for it, but she made no offer to make the situation right such as a free round of drinks, free appetizer, discount off of our food--nothing at all. We will not be returning to this restaurant. Oh, and by the way, the food was so-so.

I've been here three times now over the past few years, twice with my whole family. We all absolutely love the food here! The ambiance is intimate and cozy, with a small wine bar, small patio seating area, and a wine-themed decor complete with string lighting throughout. The chef has nightly specials which have yet to disappoint any of us. The last time we ate here (just a couple of weeks ago) it had been a couple years since the last time so I was not sure that it would be as good as I remembered it - and yet, everyone in my family was beside themselves with everything we ordered! From our shared appetizers to sharing each other's meals and dessert, each time we couldn't believe how good the sauces were, the freshness of the hand-made pastas, the combinations of flavors...it was beyond our expectations and will look forward to going back again for future special occasions. We had no problems with the service, but were also taking our time as we were there for each other's company and were in no rush to get anywhere.

GREAT food at this place. I've tried a panini, a couple of pizzas, and the beet salad, and everything I've had has been awesome. Slightly pricey, especially for the portions, but really, really good. Also, the service the second time I went was pretty ridiculously slow. We were one of about 3 tables during lunch service, and I think we honestly sat on our bill for 20 minutes while our server chatted with a couple at the bar. A little frustrating, but the food is so delicious that it's sort of a trade-off! haha.

We just went here tonight for my Dad's Birthday Dinner, the service was slow considering it was not busy at all. I had to ask for a kids menu for my son. Had to ask for drink refills because the waitress never came back after dropping off the food. The grilled calamari was good, the bread was ok it was just shocking not to get Italian bread, would have preferred that better. The entrees did not come with a choice of soup or salad, which is unheard of in an Italian restaurant. The pizza was pretty amazing....pasta not so much it was ok but my Dad actually makes better sauce with much more flavors I would have preferred he cooked! After mentioning a second time it was my Dads Birthday the waitress still didn't acknowledge it, I just thought it was the norm you go to eat on your birthday and they bring a little something even it they put it on the bill. I have been to much better Italian restaurants, we wont be going there again.

This was one of my favorite restaurants. The food was always delicious and fresh. This last few times has been a disaster and last night is the last time I will visit. The service was horrible. The hostess didn't care about anything going on. The waitress was more concerned with a guy at the bar. The soup was COLD. Had to send it back and wait some more. The pizza was ok. Prices are ridiculous. Goodbye!

We made reservations for dinner through their website. When we arrive for our reservation on time we were told that the kitchen was closed. When I asked the hostess why they accept reservations for dinner when their kitchen was closed I received a deer in the headlights look and then she laughed!

Tasty food and service that started out great but quickly went to "meh." We were here on Halloween. We got the last table and our drink orders were promptly taken. I was in the mood for something light so I got a bowl of minnestrone and a salad, the hubby got one of their pizzas. The soup was very good, hearty and chunky. The salad was good - not outstanding but not awful by any means. Hubby seemed to enjoy his pizza. Our server was very attentive at first. Then, at some point she vanished. We wanted dessert. I kept seeing her in the kitchen, but she never came out. Finally another server picked up on the fact that I kept trying to stare her down, and took our order. Then it took a little bit for the check to come. Because of the warm and cozy atmosphere and the food, I decided not to take a star off... this time. Definitely worth a visit.

My husband and I were very excited to try Bella Bacino's for our date night. After walking in, we were immediately greeted and seated by the hostess. The atmosphere in the restaurant was light. It was perfect for a date night or a family outing. We were anticipating trying the wine on the menu. After being seated and waiting 10 minutes, we still had not received a glass of water or had a waitress stop over to ask us for drinks. Another couple was seated next to us too, and also did not have any service approach. Shortly after making the decision to wait a few more minutes before leaving, the couple that was seated after us was approached by a host or a server. Customer service is essential to any business succeeding. Aside from the host, we did not receive any type of customer service. Needless to say, we left immediately and do not plan to visit in the future.

I've been to Bella Bacino's twice before, food was really good and service was great. This time I went back and brought my girlfriends. Not good... We encountered several issues that will cause us never to return: 1) We ordered our food (salad, some had pizza and some had pasta) and my pasta dish was wrong so it had to go back (waitress appeared to not know the menu at all because she tried to convince me that what she brought me (pasta full of oysters) was what I ordered (pasta with shrimp) 2) Salad didn't come out until after three people had their food 3) My friend ordered a margherita pizza that came back like a kid's cheese pizza. The menu said tomatoes but there were none on there and there was yellow cheese?! Again, this is not what a margherita pizza is and the menu said "tomatoes" yet the hostess tried to convince her that "tomatoes" on the menu meant tomato sauce 4) Although it was an hour before the place closed, we were asked if we wanted to-go containers and WE had to ask for a dessert menu 5) We had to ask for bread after we sat down and were there for about an hour, then we had to ask again for bread plates One word that sums up the evening...ANNOYING. We won't be back.

Lagrange is an awesome city, we decided to try some wood fired pizza and hit the right spot, this restaurant was very nice inside and our waitress was a great lady, food was fantastic also, we started with bruschetta app then had the Prociutto & funghi pizza, was delicious!

As an italian food and wine lover its hard to impress me. This place meets all my standards! It's such a gem in the middle of the suburbs. I love to go downtown to dine quite often. I find the food and server knowledge to be of a much higher standard. However, when I come here I get that same feeling. They have a great wine selection. I can buy wine to take home if I like it. The food is well thought out and executed to an obviously high standard. As for service, I have been taken care of by most of the staff. They know me by name and have never let me wait for anything. I feel like Im walking into a friends home when i come here. It must be in their training because I see them greet many other the same way. How cool is that!

Lovely for Lunch. We already know that downtown La Grange is quite the hot little hub in its own right when it comes to dining out, but did you also know that its Italian muse, Bella Bacino's, is not only pasta perfect but *the* spot for oenophiles? Just take one step inside and you'll determine pretty quickly that while Bella's means business when it comes to pizzas, paninis and pastas, it's just as downright dedicated to Cabernet, Chablis and Chardonnay. One part wine club, one part restaurant and all parts adorable, really enjoyed my working lunch at the La Grange Bella's location. While the restaurant was unfortunately a bit of a ghost town on a Thursday for lunch (don't La Grangers eat out?), service was absolutely attentive and the food was lovely. Starters of a bright caprese salad and piping hot minestrone soup were positively yummy... my minestrone seemed to be lacking a bit of seasoning, but it was nothing a little salt and some fresh grated parm didn't quickly remedy. My DC and I could barely contain ourselves, however, when our main dishes arrived at the table. Eager as beavers we dug into our intoxicatingly aromatic entrées; a fabulously light and crisp Napoletana-style truffle and smoked mozzarella pizza and a gorgeous plate of fluffy ricotta-filled ravioli dripping in tangy red sauce and draped with curls of fresh basil. Oooooooh, Ahhhhhhh, Oh, YUM. So very comforting and scrumptiously hitting all the right spots for a necessary winter warm up. A charming, rustic interior and an incredibly friendly owner who is wholeheartedly enthusiastic in sharing stories of his passions for all things wine round out a truly enjoyable experience at Bella Bacino's. My Italiano seal of approval certainly goes to that delectable marinara sauce while my peaked curiosity remains for the special vino events. Rioja + Ravioli? Sign me up!

I am Italian and work in the restaurant industry- prepare for a very honest, detailed review. There are over 30 restaurants in downtown La Grange, but the name caught my attention. I went on their website and I got really excited to try this place. I must say that website had me fooled. I had very high expectations when I walked into Bacino's, but I was immediately confused when I walked in. Good thing I had a 7:30 reservation- the dining room had all of 5 tables on a Saturday night. My boyfriend gave me a look like "way to go-great pick." We were promptly seated by a very friendly hostess who seemed to be the only person clearing tables in the restaurant. I've been there and not only is it stressful, but it makes an instant negative impression on your guests. Hire a buss boy. The booths mirrored the ones at an old banquet hall that my great grandmother makes us go to for every occasion- hideous, stingy and extremely outdated. Too much clutter on the walls, but the wine crates and ceiling lights give it a nice rustic feel. Get rid of the booths and and take down some of the memorabilia and you should be in good shape. Now for the food... If it wasn't for the specials, I'm not sure that I would have stayed. The menu itself was dirty and in one of those cheesy plastic bindings with very generic, over priced selections. My boyfriend ordered the rigatoni with sausage- HUGE portion that was just your typical Italian-American fare. He couldn't complain, but definitely not something he would make him want to come back. However, I ordered the ravioli special that my server Scott recommended (super outgoing, funny yet somehow very professional by the way- MY KIND OF SERVER). These raviolis were to die for. Handmade, stuffed with ricotta, orange butter cream sauce that he promised me was not too sweet, crumbled prosciutto, shaved parm and drizzled with a fantastic balsamic reduction. Let's just say my boyfriend was very jealous after one bite. The GM stopped by our table and he was awesome too- not your typical GM who just sits around. He was pouring wine, helping the servers etc- I think he was our servers twin? They made it a good time! This place has serious potential, hence the three stars. Just make some simple changes and spice up the menu- the specials don't match up with the regular menu. Some modern plates and silverware wouldn't hurt either. There is huge competition in La Grange and Bacino's needs to step up their game.
(3)Lori L.
We had late night appetizers- grilled calamari and the meatballs both were excellent and satisfying. Very nice atmosphere we will return again.
(4)Julie M.
I have had a Christmas party here 2 years in a row and every year the food has been wonderful. The first time the service was slower (30+ people) but this year we had the salads and desserts served family style to speed things up. Wine and water glasses were always filled. The entree orders came out within minutes of each other. The owners worked with out group this year to help make sure that the service was faster, and it made a lot of difference. Caprese salad - excellent, I liked that they added balsamic reduction Rustica salad - I love fruit, nuts and cheese in salad, so this was excellent mix of sweet and savory. The proscuitto also added a crispy crunch. Ravioli trio - very tasty, 3 different large (could have been my meal) ravioli Salmon - very light, no fishy taste. The bartender was very nice and helped me to find a white wine to try.
(4)Catherine X.
Why is this place still in business? Darn you, Bella for enchanting me with your cute little veranda and cozy insides. The strewn Christmas lights hanging from the beams and light-up grapes behind the bar were downright a-dork-able. Too bad your food doesn't live up to it. But alas, this is what I get for not yelping first. But I'm not the only one at fault, I blame downtown LaGrange for having so many closed-on-Sunday and/or shut-down restaurants. So we strolled in on a Sunday evening famished with few food possibilities in town. The place looked hopping (if you can call it that with all AARP members and their grandkids), so we took a seat. The gratuitous tomato bread would've just been good by itself. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but it was overpowering the olive oil and parmesan that came with it. The server pressured us majorly into getting the brick-oven pizza. "It's the only one of its kind in Chicago". Hmm.. I had my doubts. The pizza was paper-thin as promised and mostly burnt on the bottom. When we took this up with the waitress, she said, "Well it's not burnt, it's just been cooked in the oven. That's how it's supposed to be." Yes, thank you. I now know how things get burnt. You cook them. With fire. That doesn't mean that my pizza WASN'T completely black on the bottom though. We also ordered the veal with spinach, capers, and artichokes. The lemon juice in addition to the artichokes was a bit excessive, and I found myself pursing my lips a lot. In addition, there were WAY too many capers that I felt my taste buds shriveling from the intake of sodium. Blech blech. I've learned my lesson, yelp next time!
(2)Eli H.
Our waiter was nice, but it seemed like he was having a rough time. However, the food was SUPERB! The wood-fired pizza tastes extremely authentic.
(4)Joey D.
iI love the marinara pizza.
(5)Kelly D.
I used to work next door at Al's Charhouse and every Sunday when the restaurant was slow, we would secretly order Bella Bacino's. Everything I've had was always very good-I actually remember one Sunday some coworkers and I ordered caprese salads and no one spoke a word for minutes, just stared, ate, and perhaps cried a little bit (because we ate it so quickly). The mussels appetizer is very good, as are the pizzas. They have a HUGE wine list and were very knowledgeable when I told them my tastes. My friend also tells me that they host wine tastings every so often, so if you're around the area check them out!
(5)Brent Y.
Delicious Italian food. The free bread is quite possibly my favorite free bread ever. The bread comes with smooth olive oil with a lot of parmesan cheese in it. The brick-oven cooked salmon is cooked to a perfect juiciness, it's not dry or undercooked. That is my go-to meal at Bella Bacino's. Definitely worth a shot if you like Italian food.
(4)Eric Y.
I want to like this place more. Great location, brick oven, good pizza, lots of wine. What more could you ask for? Alas, the food could be better. The sun-dried tomato bread was nice, and the special soup, sweet pea, was tasty if a bit oily. We ordered the thin crust brick oven pizza. Ours had wood roasted mushrooms and prosciutto. The pizza was pretty good, the crust nicely crisp and burnt in the right places, but the mushrooms were lacking - they were really small, dried out, and tasteless. What's up with that? A bit of something fresh and green on top would have been nice too .. some arugula maybe? We tried two pastas. The special ravioli with Napoletano sauce was not very good ... something funky with the sauce. The fidelio with cherry tomatoes was also just not good. The sauce did not taste fresh. The veal with lemon caper sauce however, was quite good. Our server and service was good enough. In short, I would go back and try another pizza - with crust that good, it's worth another try. Stay away from the pastas though!
(2)Shain C.
Had a craving for some thin crust, neopolitan pizza the other day and my boss recommended Bella Bacino's and it hit the spot. (And I'm not just saying that to kiss up to my boss.) The service was a bit on the flaky side, and I thought there was a dirty mop smell wafting through the restaurant from time to time, but it didn't detract from my ultimate goal of a good pizza and a Peroni.
(4)Lola P.
huge disappointment! My first pizza was served with a burnt black crust. The waiter took it back and brought me a new one about 10 min later. The second pizza was not what I ordered. I told the waiter that it was the wrong pizza, and he said he would take it back again. The two people I was with had already finished eating their pizza, so in my frustration I asked to just get the check so we could leave. I was not even offered an apology from management or comped at least 1/2 of the pizza we were served. I was not offered anything to compensate for my wasted time and frustration from the establishment. I will never eat there again.
(1)Sean B.
Horrible service. Not enough servers, the one server on the Thursday night we were there was running around the whole time. Took way too long to order, eat and get the check. Could have made the salad at home myself and the pizza was just OK.
(2)Steve C.
Dined here in Mid-July on a Thurs night, the place was pretty empty for the most part. Me and the wife came in, the hostess not very friendly, the menu was ok, but like with everybody else on yelp is saying, THE SERVICE IS 100% HORRIBLE ! We had almost walked out intially, the waitress took about 15 mins before coming over, very inattentive, never around, keep in mind the place was empty. Very rarely do I not leave a tip, this was one of the few times, it was that awful. The food was actually decent and enjoyable but I would not come back, too many other places and choices othere
(2)JoAnne H.
I had lunch here today, and it was a great experience. I had never been here before, and was looking for a nice place to eat on a Wednesday. It was very empty inside--I think only two other tables had guests--and we were seated and greeted immediately. The server brought this amazing soft, warm tomato bread (someone else mentioned the bread in a previous review) with olive oil. We all ordered the lunch special off the list of about 5-6 different panini sandwiches. There were plenty of pasta dishes and whatnot, but the panini combinations listed on the menu looked too good to pass up. The paninis each came with a small cup of soup and a small salad. It was delicious! My panini had cheese, zucchini, asparagus and red peppers inside--cooked and prepared perfectly for this picky asparagus eater--and the minestrone soup had plenty of black pepper, which was nice on a blustery cold Chicagoland day. I will definitely head back to this place. I am sorry to read the other reviews about bad service...our server was very nice, and the people behind the bar greeted us as soon as we came in. I have to say that the best part was getting some very freshly baked, gooey and delicious chocolate chip cookies on the house!

This is a gem in a small town of LaGrange. The owner Dan is a total wine guy who knows everyone in the business and has a passion to share his knowledge. The pizzas are wonderful but always ask about the specials, sometimes they only make the special once every 6 months. Eating at the wine bar is also cool if Dan is in, he will want you to try something new he just got in, The wait staff is good but the kitchen can be slow, but that is ok if you are having a terrific bottle of wine, it just means you can order a second bottle

I have eaten twice now at this restaurant for lunch. The lunch crowd is surprisingly slow for a restaurant in down town La Grange, especially so since this restaurant is located right on the main drag. The atmosphere is nice though and the restaurant is small. When there are only a few people it is a great place to sit down and chat, but I can imagine it can get loud if crowded. My experience there has been pleasant both visits. The food was flat out excellent and in one case with the Chicken parmesan enough for two people itself. The wait staff is also very good and in the case of my second visit they brought out extra potatoes to my colleague for him to take home after he commented how much he enjoyed them. An excellent but small gesture.

Stopped in after a day at the zoo, and the food was amazing! Service was ok, I could have done without the table full of kids nearby. Will definitely stop by again!

Oh, man, were we lucky ducks tonight! A friend and I decided to walk around downtown LaGrange to grab a bite to eat, and wandered into Bella Bacino's. Saw a sign for an "Open House - meet greet and eat" event, but requested to just sit for dinner. The waitress came by and we decided to go with the Open House special - $30/person - 2 glasses of wine and what ended up being a parade, a huge delightful parade of delicious wonders! Definitely an oddball night to judge how things normally operate, as our server just brought out plates as we were ready for them, very attentive, nice, great all around. BUT THE FOOD - gaaah - delish! Started with a self-serve-appetizer set up on the bar - couple of chicken dishes, some crostini-type things, calamari, roasted veggies, antipasti - YUM! Then we sat at our table and had small plate after small plate brought out to us. More than one reference to the movie "Big Night" - meatballs, a couple pasta dishes (rich sauces, but not heavy), a salad with tenderloin, paninis, chicken dishes, oh my lord. Just food! Good food! Almost too much food! BUT NOT REALLY because it was just so so so damn tasty. For the two of us, with 2 glasses of wine each, and tip included (weird?) it was under $80. Didn't look at the prices of their regular menu, but if they offer this regularly - once a month or something? - I would totally recommend for an easily-split-bill kind of group outing. Mmmmm...

I've been here a couple of times. The first time was OK. The server was nice, and our pizza was decent although a little underdone. The second time was terrible. We went here because we thought we could get in and out in a reasonable amount of time. We were wrong. It took two hours to get our meal. We ended up having to take everything to go because we didn't have time to eat it there. If you can get served, the food isn't bad. Just make sure you plan to come here when you have plenty of time on your hands.

I've been to this restaurant and really enjoyed it... the food was good, service was fine. But, I've had two separate experiences that will cause me to never go back. The first time, we ordered carryout... two, small, pizzas. Nothing difficult. Straight off the menu. Went and picked it up (and had to wait a while for it to be ready), got them home, tried to dig in, and they were both burned on the bottom... and not just brown and crispy (which I like), but black. Not good, but didn't feel like driving back to complain. The second time, we went in. We wanted some pizza, some chianti, a chance to grab a somewhat quick meal. Unfortunately, although all we ordered (for two of us) was one appetizer, two glasses of wine, and two individual pizzas, it took us almost 2 hours to get through dinner, and it's not because we're slow eaters... the service was just that bad. The waitress took our order, brought us our drinks, and then left after screaming at the chef and didn't come back. We eventually managed to flag down the manager, and she went and got our food... we were never offered anything else to drink to actually go with our meal. (Not even for us to pay for ourselves)... Never offered a free drink, never offered an apology, barely offered the food we ordered (and paid for). I've never left such a small tip before (I think we left about $2, and I'm usually a 20% tipper). And, we weren't the only ones... there were about 5 or 6 other tables of people (2-4 people at each table), and no one was getting their food. I will never go back to establishment. They don't know what they're doing.

I really really really love the food here. Everyone gets great sun-dried tomato bread as a starter. They have a mushroom pasta dish that is great, a rotating selection of ravioli that is awesome, and a filet dish that is amazing. We never get alcohol here because the meal is expensive enough (we're poor) for us, although we consider the quality of food to make the price an excellent value. But, their service does live a bit to be desired. Normally, it's been fine, but there's this one waitress, who for the life of me, I can't remember her name (blonde, foreign accent, not the Australian though) who is TERRIBLE. We've had her twice and she was awful both times. Last time we went, we said that if we got her again, we'd ask for a different waitress, but it's now been over a year and we haven't been back. The atmosphere is very nice and I think that someone would feel comfortable there for both nice dinner out on a date or also with a group of friends dressed casually. In the summer they open the front windows so some tables are outdoors. In any case, I would definitely recommend the food, but would plan for at least an extra hour of dining time because sometimes the service can be very slow.

I love this place. My husband and I go here as often as we can. The food never disappoints (the fresh, handmade ravioli is my favorite). They also have a great wine list and will recommend a good bottle. The servers and management have always been super helpful and nice, even congratulating us on our engagement and marriage with free champagne and dessert! The atmosphere is cute and cozy and I think it's a great date place without being stuffy. One of my favorite places to go. Enjoy!
(5)Lars S.
The roasted calamari was FANTASTIC. The pastas were almost really good. The tomato sauce was perfectly balanced. Excellent wine list.

Im not a huge fan of the dining scene in La Grange to start with. But I did eat here and here is my review: Its an average Italian joint in the burbs, nothing to write home about but not bad either. Service was pretty good
(3)Kara H.
my husband and I stumbled into this restaurant/wine bar while searching for a dinner spot. I'm so glad we did. we took a seat at the bar and ordered a bottle of wine. the atmopshere is cozy and warm. I loved the exposed brick walls. I decided to go with one of their pizzas. there were so many specialty pizzas to chose from so our waitress helped me pick by suggesting one of her favorites (prosciutto and carmelized onions) so good! very thin and crispy. My husband had a rigatoni/mushroom dish - it was okay - I'd stick with the pizzas. the owner was very friendly and told us about the many wine tasting events they have there. service was a little slow, but very helpful and friendly.

My husband and I dined here for the first time this weekend. I wish I would have checked Yelp first, and just avoided the place all together. The food was pretty good but the waitress brought me the wrong entree. She offered to correct the mistake, which was great, but she also put the wrong appetizer down at the same time. (We got our appetizer at the same time as our entree.) I tried to get her attention to correct our appetizer but she wouldn't come to our table. I finally got the host to come to our table and he said that he would ask the waitress but he came back saying it's what we ordered. (To clarify, we ordered marinated olives and they brought us a pot of melted cheese with prosciutto.) Now the appetizer was good but it just wasn't what we ordered and the waitress wouldn't come over and talk to us about the mistake. She finally brought me my correct entree, which was good, but when she brought us the bill she had charged me for the wrong entree and the wrong appetizer (both more expensive than my actual order). We pointed out to the waitress the mistake on the bill and she got the manager who then sort of challenged us with our concern, bringing over a menu and asking us to point out what we ordered. In the end, they comp'd us the appetizer but seriously, the service was a mess. No one was very friendly and our experience was sort of crap, considering we dropped like $80 on the meal (we ordered a bottle of chianti with dinner). I will never dine her again, ever. I have also told my friends to avoid this place. There's lots of restaurants in La Grange, no need to waste your time at this one.

I have been to Bacinos a couple times throughout the years and the food always brought me back; summertime salads, pizzas, desserts and wine are all great. My husband just brought me here for my birthday dinner last month and has not stopped talking about the "BEST PASTA he's ever eaten." The dinner menu was slightly confusing (I don't know that I ever ate dinner there before and had to sort through all the Italian food names; lunch was more pizza and panini) so we asked the waitress what to choose for my husband. She recommended the meat sauce for my husband that came with fresh-made meatballs, local Italian sausage, and I believe braised beef. I had already decided on the margherita pizza that I had been dreaming of since the last time I had one here; there's something about the thin crust and simple, fresh ingredients that is worth savoring. I did a pretty good job of helping my husband with his- though the pizza was still good, that meat sauce was amazing!!! This place can be pretty quiet on a weekday and have slower service on off peak times, but this Friday night the service and food were exceptional!

This place is very cute. The pasta was delish...6 of us went and we all loved the food. The servers were very friendly. I couldn't pick between two dishes, and without me even asking, the server brought out a large sample of the ravoli for me to try...for free! They talked with our kids a bunch of times. Kid friendly and good food. They also did a nice job of keeping dinner fast...which is important with kids. We will be back to try the brick oven pizza. Also...try the minestrone soup.

I know I shouldn't even be reviewing this restaurant because it's not like I've ever been. But I was, I just never got past the maitre'd. The Hub and I walked into the restaurant on a Wednesday night about 8:30 p.m. The place was dead, but it was open...or so we thought. We were told that they weren't seating anyone any longer because they were closing. We asked why since it was way before closing time, and they didn't have a reason...just told us that they were closing. Needless to say, it was the last time the Hub and I ever stepped foot into the place. We figured with all the restaurants in LaGrange, this place is obviously not hurting that they can turn away patrons during their regular serving hours. C'est la vie!!
(1)Kristin L.
Another one of my all time favorite places to eat! The overall experience is quite classy, but you won't feel out of place if you're dressed casually. The portions are usually large, the food is delicious, and the wine selection is impressive. Make sure you save room for dessert!
(5)Erin B.
We were there Sunday afternoon at 3pm. They were not busy. There were flies all over, the service was non existent, we had no napkins or utensils, we went through 6 salt shakers and all were clogged. WOW, this place doesn't care about keeping business, we WON'T be back.
(1)Ziv S.
(4)Jeffrey R.
Food was good, thought the pasta could have had more fresh mozzarella. Wait staff was not very attentive (water glasses empty for 5-10 min at a time) Prosciutto app was good. Bread was fair at best. Would have expected fresh parmesan from Italian restaurant.

(3)Ben G.

(1)Lori L.
(2)David C.
as my favorite restaurant in LaGrange I have to give it 5 stars. if you go you have to try the grilled calamari appetizer. the main dishes are always good and they mix up the specials very often so you are able to try something new. finally, if you are a fan of Italian style wood fired pizza this is the place for you.

Love this place, the mussels and clams are great ! The brick oven pizza is awesome too, I also recommend the rustica salad! Me and my girlfriends come here a lot love the Turly red it's amazing!!

(4)Jamie R.
(4)Danielle J.
We made reservations for dinner through their website. When we arrive for our reservation on time we were told that the kitchen was closed. When I asked the hostess why they accept reservations for dinner when their kitchen was closed I received a deer in the headlights look and then she laughed!

(2)Karen D.
Goodbye!
(2)Tim C.

Overpriced.
(2)Cara S.
(2)Jeff H.

Sign me up!

(2)Sean B.
Horrible service. Not enough servers, the one server on the Thursday night we were there was running around the whole time. Took way too long to order, eat and get the check. Could have made the salad at home myself and the pizza was just OK.

Stopped in after a day at the zoo, and the food was amazing! Service was ok, I could have done without the table full of kids nearby. Will definitely stop by again!

We had late night appetizers- grilled calamari and the meatballs both were excellent and satisfying. Very nice atmosphere we will return again.

Mmmmm...
(5)Leslie P.
(2)John W.
Im not a huge fan of the dining scene in La Grange to start with. But I did eat here and here is my review: Its an average Italian joint in the burbs, nothing to write home about but not bad either. Service was pretty good

my husband and I stumbled into this restaurant/wine bar while searching for a dinner spot.

(4)C M.
(4)Nikkie H.
(3)Janet S.
(1)Michelle F.
(5)Bridget B.
A little frustrating, but the food is so delicious that it's sort of a trade-off! haha.
(4)Olivia H.

(5)Kate M.
